Magnus International is a licensed leader in mangrove reforestation in Thailand, holding a 20-year concession to cultivate over 1,000 rai (approximately 400 acres) of mangrove forests across the three southern provinces of Phuket, Krabi, and Phang Nga.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources has officially approved Magnus International Co., Ltd. to participate in the Mangrove Reforestation Project for Carbon Credit Benefits for the year 2024. This initiative aims to restore coastal ecosystems, expand green areas, and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through natural climate solutions.
Magnus International has been granted the right to participate and operate within a designated area for a period of 30 years, from October 17, 2024, to October 16, 2054. The company is required to comply with all relevant laws and regulations and must report progress and outcomes to the Department on a regular basis.
This project plays a vital role in encouraging private sector involvement in natural resource conservation through the carbon credit mechanism. Not only does it help mitigate climate change, but it also enhances corporate image in terms of social and environmental responsibility.

The Department of Marine and Coastal Resources (DMCR) has issued an official approval and registration, recognizing Magnus International Co., Ltd. as a qualified private sector entity to participate in the Mangrove Reforestation for Carbon Credit Benefits Program under national regulations. The company has successfully passed the review and selection process conducted by the official qualification committee.
This approval was formally announced in the DMCR’s Registration of Mangrove Reforestation Projects for Carbon Credit Benefits, Announcement No. 1/2568, dated March 19, 2025. As a result, Magnus International Co., Ltd. is now authorized to carry out mangrove reforestation activities throughout Thailand in designated areas, with the goal of restoring coastal ecosystems, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and supporting the development of a national carbon credit mechanism.
This milestone marks a significant step for private sector participation in natural resource conservation, aligning with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Thailand’s national strategy toward a low-carbon economy.
